DICONDE

DICONDE is the abbreviation for Digital Imaging and Communication for Non-Destructive Evaluation and is a standardized file format for displaying, transmitting, and storing digitally generated image data and information in non-destructive testing (NDT).

DICONDE enables a software- and system-independent exchange of data as well as the display of images between different DICONDE-compliant systems. Since DICONDE is based on the medical standard DICOM, changes and extensions from the DICOM standard are regularly adapted. Due to the increasing digitization and networking of systems, DICONDE is becoming more and more important in NDT.
